Nini Andrade Silva

Nini Andrade Silva is one of the most prestigious interior designers in the world. Born in Funchal , Nini graduated in Design at the Institute of Visual Arts, Design and Marketing (IADE) in Lisbon, having pursued simultaneously her academic and professional career abroad, where she studied and worked in New York, London, Paris, Africa South and Denmark.

With a work of great national and international recognition , Nini Andrade Silva has taken the name of Portugal to the four corners of the world, being the creative mind behind multiple hotels Design HoteisTM members. Featuring an impressive work across borders, Nini saw several times her work distinguished by various institutions, as well as becoming a constant presence in prestigious publications worldwide, such as for example the New York Times, Financial Times, El Pais, Wallpaper, Condé Nast Traveller, Sleeper Magazine, Harrods Magazine, Architectural Digest Magazine, Andrew Martin World 's Leading Guides, Wallpapper, Condé Nast Travel Guide, among many others.

Alongside its renowned career in architecture and interior design, Nini is also the author of various lines of indoor and outdoor furniture, and the versatility of his work still stands out to her passion for painting, and its work present in major collections and museums of contemporary art world, including Ireland and New York.

The June 10, 2011, Nini Andrade Silva was awarded by the Portuguese Government with the title of Honorary Grand Order of Infante D. Henry, Grade Officer, the achievements on behalf of Portugal, in the country and abroad . Also this year, was named Ambassador of Culture by Guimarães Foundation - 2012 European Capital of Culture.
